The portions of the eye that are visible totally consist of the external structure of the eye. Which includes sclera, cornea, conjunctiva, pupil and iris. 

 The sclera could also be a troublesome and thick white sheath that protects the inner parts of the eye . Conjunctiva could also be a skinny transparent membrane that’s spread across the sclera and keeps the eyes moist and clear by secreting small amounts of mucus and tears. 

The cornea is the transparent layer of skin that covers the pupil and thus the iris. The work of the cornea is to refract the sunshine that enters the eyes. Iris could also be a pigmented layer of tissue that makes up the coloured portion of the eye. 

Its primary function is to manage the size of the pupil, relying on the number of sunshine entering it. The pupil is that tiny opening located within the center of the Iris and it allows light to return in.

The internal structure

of the eye includes retina, lens, aqueous humor , vitreous humor and optic nerve .

The retina is the screen at the highest of the eye , where all the photographs are formed. It’s extremely sensitive to light thanks to the presence of Photoreceptors, which are photosensitive cells that detect dim and colored lights. A lens could also be a biconvex, transparent and adjustable structure that focuses light to the retina, hence forming images thereon . 

Aqueous humor could also be a watery fluid that’s present within the world between the lens and thus the cornea. it’s responsible for the nourishment of both the lens and thus the cornea.

vitreous humor could also be a transparent semi-solid, jelly-like substance that fills the within of the eyes. Its role is that it maintains the shape of the eye and also causes refraction of sunshine before it reaches the retina. 

Optic nerve located at the highest of the eyes, behind the retina, the optic nerve is responsible for carrying all the nerve impulses from the photoreceptors to the brain, without which vision wouldn’t be possible.
